The owner of the company I work for recently tasked me with beginning the process of finding some Carlsbad, CA commercial real estate that we might consider moving our operations into. Given the fact I have had zero experience with researching or purchasing real estate, I felt sure I was doomed from the start.

Fortunately for me however, I found a licensed Realtor who specialized in Carlsbad and San Diego real estate and was such a shining star that I plan on using him to help me find the right new home when I’m ready to make that leap.

One of the most interesting aspects of the process had to do with the negotiation between the seller and buyers. While I was not privy to all of the details, I did get to participate in a lot of the happenings. I am pretty sure that I learned more than I’ll need when I start making offers on a home of my own.

And in the current economy any thing that can be done to save money, shave a point her, get the seller to pick up a fee there, will add up to thousands of dollars of reduction in purchase price. And all of that will help lower my monthly payments and insurance.
