Trying to find a houseshare can be an exciting experience. It can also be the source of some serious headaches. That’s because there are a number of problems that people encounter when they are looking to rent a room.
Here are a few of the most common problems that you can expect to experience during the hunt for a flat:
· Lack of time. There is never enough time to take care of the rest of your life and also go see all of the flats that you want to see.
· Flaky people. When you need to find a flatmate for a flatshare, you quickly learn that a lot of people don’t show up when they’re supposed to.
· Lost and confused. Seeking out new places often means getting lost. Make sure you take a map!
· Too many choices and none of them seem good enough. It can be annoying to go see twenty different flats and not like any of them but it’s part of the process.
· Frustration. Sometimes it takes awhile to find the right place and it can be highly frustrating.
· Expense. You need to spend money on moving, rent, deposits, and stocking up the new place.
Don’t worry; eventually you’ll find the right flat and you’ll be done with this process - until the next time, that is.
